A third party service provider is utilized for the credit card
verification process. which compares the information from the
cardholders' financial institution against that entered by the
customer and determines whether the charges are Accepted or Failed.
Once you select “Checkout”, you will be prompted to
enter Customer Information. Enter the name and billing
address for the cardholder, not the boat/motor owner's information
(which may or may not be the same as the credit card holder). The
cardholders' name, billing address, and credit card verification code
must match or the verification will fail.
A ‘Boat/Motor Online Transactions
Receipt’ will be made available online immediately following
successful completion of the credit card verification and a second
receipt will be emailed to the email address you provide. These
receipts are your confirmation.
The credit card verification process
includes a preauthorization element that is performed for each
attempt to complete the credit card authorization process. When
multiple attempts are made, multiple preauthorized amounts may be
seen on the cardholders' account. These preauthorized amounts will
remain on the account for up to 72 hours and are then removed by the
cardholders' financial institution. (Please note that Texas Parks
and Wildlife is not able to remove these “pending”
charges.) Only one preauthorized amount will be charged if the
credit card verification has been successful and the authorization
has been completed.
