Entered information disappears?
Not entering one of the required fields using the correct format on the ‘Payment Process Page’
will cause all entries to be removed as a security precaution. The required fields are indicated with a red asterisk [*
]. All required fields must be completed using the correct format before processing may continue.
Why was the credit card not accepted?
A third party service provider is utilized for the credit card verification process. Based on the information obtained by the service provider from the cardholders’ financial institution the charges may be Accepted or Failed. The cardholders name, billing address, and credit card verification code must match or the verification will fail.
Tips for successfully completing the credit card verification process:
- The name and address on the boat record is automatically displayed on the “Payment Process Page” as the “Customer Billing Information”. If the name and address displayed does not match the credit card name and billing address you must change it.
- The Credit Card Verification Code entered does not match the code that the card holders financial institution has on file. Confirm the code is correct then re-enter the code.
Multiple pending charges?
The credit card verification process includes a preauthorization element that is performed for each attempt to complete the credit card authorization process. When multiple attempts are made, multiple preauthorized amounts can be seen on the cardholders account. These preauthorized amounts will remain on the account for 72 hours and are then removed by the cardholders’ financial institution. Only one preauthorized amount will be charged if the credit card verification has been successful and the authorization has been completed.
